Hypertech® New Product Introductions Underscore the Value of SDC Participation
Hypertech is a technology-driven company whose core product is knowledge; the ability to tune the complex computers that control essential functions in modern vehicles. Hypertech is the technology leader in high-performance engine tuning computer-controlled vehicles. Electronic engine controls have evolved rapidly since their introduction, and Hypertech has kept pace by developing power tuning products that take advantage of these electronic controls. As the power of digital systems expands, Hypertech continues to design and manufacture cutting edge power tuning products here in the U.S.
Hypertech’s Power Programmers optimize engine tuning to maximize HP, torque and performance, and recalibrates the speedometer/odometer when using larger non-stock tires, or different rear axle ratios. Additionally, Hypertech programmers will re-format the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) when larger than stock tires are used, deliver 2-4 more MPGs, and provide the most powerful tuning available for towing.
With the introduction of a number of new power programmers and speedometer calibrators, Hypertech’s participation in the SEMA Data Co-Op (SDC) is more important than ever. As one of the manufacturers initially selected for testing by the SDC, the main benefit for Hypertech is in the ability to host its product information in one spot, and have all its dealers come to a centralized location to get this data. As Hypertech’s National Sales Manager Chris Crecelius stated, “It’s easier than trying to email or upload data to each individual customer. Another benefit to our dealers is that the SDC accepts our ACES vehicle application data files, which allows them to use the same vehicle lookup data that powers the Hypertech website. New product releases can be quickly uploaded through the Co-Op, and are instantly available to all of our authorized dealers. No more missed sales because of product releases getting caught up in spam filters, or sent to the wrong person.”
Since Hypertech doesn’t sell direct to end consumers, it is critical that its dealers have the most current information available on all their products. When a potential customer wants to purchase a Hypertech product, they are confident their dealers who use the SEMA Data Co-Op have the correct, most up-to-date product data needed for the customer to make an informed choice and for the salesperson to close the sale.
